Make Your Own Leggings
Bring some comfort to your wardrobe as you learn the basics of sewing with stretchy fabrics.
These leggings are fun to sew and can be constructed easily as our instructor guides you along with tips for sewing with knits, measuring for a proper fit, desirable lengthand adding a yoga style or elastic waistband.
Intermediate skill, ages 15 and up, March 6, from 6-9pm at The Sewing Hive
Pre-washed, dried and ironed (if needed) Medium-weight performance knit or cotton-jersey knit with at least 25% stretch:
45” wide fabric: 1 ⅝y for XS-M, 2 1/4y for L, 2 3/4y for XL, 2 3/8y for 2X-3X OR
60” wide fabric: 1 1/2y for XS-L, 1 3/4y for XL, 2y for 2X, 2 3/8y for 3X
Ballpoint or jersey sewing needles
Elastic ¾” x waist measurement
Sewing machine. Machines available to rent upon request for $10
