Summer Camp: Decorate Your Space
Kids with creative ideas love to make things that are useful. Let them get creative this Summer and take pride in their designs as they sew fun projects for their room. We are going to make colorful hand-tied Summer-weight quilts, an ottoman they can sit on or use as a foot stool and some letter-shaped pillows to show off their style!
Fresh fruit and veggy tray with bottles of water provided, so send them with a packed lunch for our 30 minute break at 11:15.
Sewing machine (or rent one of ours)
Pouf Ottoman fabric: 1 yard each of two coordinating medium weight cotton fabric and matching all-purpose thread
Letter Pillows: 1/2 yard each of four coordinating medium weight cotton fabric
Quilt: 12 Quilt Fabric Fat Quarters for the top, a flat twin sheet for the back and matching all-purpose thread.
Instructor will provide polyester stuffing for the pillows and ottoman, plus materials to make pompoms and quilt ties.
Beginning level sewing skills required: knowledge of how to thread a machine and sew a seam. Ages 9-14
One week/ Monday-Friday from 8:45am-1pm: July 15-19 or August 5-9
